Favorite Mothers in Literature

In honor of Mother's Day tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to share our favorite mothers in fiction.  

My two favorite mothers are Marmee from Little Women and Mrs. Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.  They are so different from each other, but are both fiercely protective and loving mothers.  Whatever the differences, they looked after their own brood of girls and saw to their survival.  Marmee and Mrs. Bennett made huge impacts on me and I will carry them with me forever.
